Would they still do it if they thought we'd find out?

Wikileaks is publishing the records of 2,000 tax avoiders. I love them for doing this. Radical visibility is probably the best way to discourage this sort of thing.

I have a vague idea that in the past tax-avoidance was viewed much the same as treason. I wouldn't be surprised to see things move back that way in the next five years as the "good rich"will want some "bad rich" to blame.

Could the government start publishing all expenditure details for convicted tax avoiders? That would be entertaining.
