Start of the fat wars

Although the English are fatter and drunker than ever, obesity actually fell from 20.7% to 15.6% among men aged 25-34.

Now, we won’t know for a while but this may be the start of a generation gap which could persist even as the 25-34 year olds get older. I, for one, have no intention of letting myself go like today’s 35+ year old blokes have... One of the truisms of social change has been that the generation gap is shrinking – it will be interesting to see if this makes it grow again. This could be the start of the fat wars...
